 Welcome to The Capital Region's Hottest New Wine Bar.  

The culmination of five years of meticulous planning has come to fruition. The Capital Region is finally going Tapas!!!  Craig Allen (owner of All Star Wine & Spirits) along with Ralph Bonavist (Vice President & Wine Buyer) has assembled another All Star team.  

 

To answer the call for more adventurous and innovative dining, Vin Santo features the delectable creations of Chef Chris Sisinni (who is also a partner), formerly of Justin's on Lark Street in Albany. Chris not only brings 25 years of ideas and expertise with him, but he also brings some of the most scrumptious culinary treats you'll ever taste!  

 

Our menu is served in the Tapas style, which originated in Spain a little more than a century ago. Tapas translates to "little dishes" and range from simple dips to more extravagant bites like our poached lobster martini served in lemon-pepper vodka, accompanied by Pomme Pie.


Manhattan native Chris Sisinni graduated from the prestigious Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute. Chris then started his career at the Royal Orleans restaurant in New Orleans under the expert tutelage of Chef Kevin Graham (Voted one of the Top 5 Chefs by Food and Wine Magazine). From there, Chris traveled to the West Coast and worked at the Sonoma Mission Inn as well as at the celebrated Four Season's Clift Hotel in San Francisco. After three years on the West Coast, Chris jumped the pond to cook in Europe at the famed Bahnhof in Basel, Switzerland. But a longing to return to his roots settled in after 18 months overseas and Chris ultimately returned to the US to take a position at the famous SoHo restaurant – Zoe (pronounced Zo-ey). Chris then moved to the legendary Russian Tea Room as the Chef de Cuisine, heading up a team of more than 60 chefs and serving more than 2,000 dinners nightly in the sprawling, three dining room, iconic restaurant.
